A boa notícia é que entrei na fila do transplante renal. Agora tenho o número registrado no cadastro técnico da Secretaria Estadual da Saúde.

O chamado RGTC (REGISTRO GERAL DA CENTRAL DE TRANSPLANTE) fica em um site e posso acessá-lo a qualquer momento.

Para ativá-lo ainda é preciso o resultado do exame sanguíneo, que fiz hoje no Hemocentro. A partir a semana que vem minha sorte estará lançada.

A lista de espera é dividida pelo tipo de sangue. A seleção do candidato ao transplante é baseada na melhor compatibilidade genética (HLA) e no tempo de inscrição na lista de espera.

HLA é o sistema do corpo que classifica as células como “próprias” ou “impróprias”.
Quanto mais próprias, menos as células vão atacar o rim transplantado, ou seja, menos rejeição. Quanto maior a compatibilidade entre doador e receptor mais fácil é o controle.

A maior evolução nessa área médica tem sido a dessensibilização do rim doado por uma pessoa viva, porém sem compatibilidade com o receptor. Esse processo retira os anticorpos “rebeldes” antes do transplante.

Mas isso é um assunto para outra hora, pois, além de caro, ainda não foi introduzido no SUS. Futuramente esse procedimento poderá diminuir a fila de espera.

Faço minhas as palavras de Sardinha:

– “Entreguei nas mãos de Deus”, diz o companheiro de hemodiálise que está no meu box excepcionalmente nesse início de semana. Ele está na fila, mas, por causa da obesidade, o cadastro não foi ativado.

– “Estou mais para baleia do que para sardinha”, brinca o mecânico de 44 anos.

Sardinha é o sobrenome dele. Pesa 132 quilos e já está na terceira fístula, sem contar os 8 catéteres que colocou no pescoço desde que começou a hemodiálise, há 2 anos.

O problema dele foi a pressão alta e as dificuldades para controlá-la.

Confessou que no começo foi muito difícil aceitar a doença. Agora acredita que tudo tem um propósito na vida. “Acho que foi para tirar o pé do acelerador”, diz ele referindo-se à vida corrida que levava.

Hoje ajuda o filho numa oficina de moto e espera resolver um problema que apareceu no coração para fazer a cirurgia bariátrica.

Um caminho mais longo até o transplante…
